I have nearly reached 100 posts on Wardrobe on Cruise and it’s safe to say that writing on my blog, creating photos and sharing the stories behind them has become a true passion.
Yet, one can say that with all these social media tricks and immediate updates, blogging can be a struggle to keep up. However, it endures.
I think I can compare it with newspapers. With the age of technology, newspapers can be easily pushed out by tablets and online media sources. But for some reason they still exist. The same happens with blogging. People still love to catch up with blogposts, because that’s where our industry started from. If you google the word “blogger” – the first search shows that a “blogger is a person who regularly writes material for a blog”. And in my opinion blogs still have the edge.
Personally, I still enjoy reading blogs and to write them myself.
I love to think of an idea, place and organise a photoshoot and then late in the evening select photos for editing. It’s time consuming, especially when you want to create quality content, but when people say they read and enjoy your posts that is the best compliment and motivation.
What’s your opinion?
